Ewa : arna ring
A glossy orb of red onyx set in a sterling silver ring, this stunning creation from Ewa jewellery has no sharp edges and is comfortable and weighty to wear.
Red onyx is rich in iron oxide, used in ancient Egyptian carvings and Roman jewellery. It's often chosen by people who believe in its protective properties, symbolizing health, strength and mental clarity in several cultural traditions.
Due to the individual nature of all hand-made pieces, your ring will vary ever-so-slightly from the picture.
materials : sterling silver & red onyx stone
Avoid exposing onyx to extreme temperatures, moisture, and harsh chemicals such as cleaning products. Store your ring in a dry and safe place away from direct sunlight, and only clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
band width : 7mm
ring face : 2 x 2.8cm
dia : 15.5mm, 7 3/4 US
Every piece of EWA jewellery is designed and crafted by Bianca Todorov in her Port Douglas studio.
Born in Melbourne and raised between Australia and Papua New Guinea, Bianca’s lifelong fascination with the natural beauty of hand-formed silver and gold adornments has coalesced into a distinctive and recognisable aesthetic.
Bold and emboldening, these chunky forms are alive with wonky, organic beauty, and feel wonderful to wear.
Bianca’s work is inspired by her time spent in Papua New Guinea over many years. Travelling through remote tropical areas around the mighty Sepik river, she credits her experiences with many language groups and their complex cultural traditions and ceremonial jewellery as the motivation to create Ewa.
