In the 1990's Sony Family Club members waited each month for the postman to deliver something very special. Can you imagine receiving a different kokeshi each month by subscription? Handcrafted by masters of their trade, each mail-order dolls exemplified one of the traditional regional decorative styles.

We were very fortunate to have sourced all 15 dolls from the original release. Now you can choose which of these kokeshi will be delivered to your door and added to your own collection. 

Each boxed kokeshi is signed by the maker.

style : Yamagata

One of the harder styles to find, Yamagata kokeshi generally have slim straight bodies, decorated heads and floral motifs, including blossoms and sunflowers.
