vintage shikishi print : mountain clouds
$148.00
/
A dramatic mountain scape, this print is a reproduction of an artwork by Kawabata Ryushi (1885-1966). Trained in oil paints, Ryushi eventually moved to more traditional Japanese mediums (mineral pigments and ink), and was heralded as one the the 'big three' nihonga artists of his time. Is your art collection ready for a little monochromatic drama?
This print was produced in 1933 as part of the New Year issue of the Kodan Club magazine, featuring traditional Japanese art (nihonga).
