art of play : the little toy playing cards
Designed by Art of Play in close collaboration with the Eames office, these cards are a tribute to the timeless sensibilities of Charles & Ray Eames.
Originally released in 1952, The Little Toy was designed to inspire creative construction through a series of colourful panels, wireframes, and connectors. For playing cards, the components were used to create a minimal numbering system where the small connectors act as edge markings for quick reference.
Packaged in a luxurious letterpress-printed tuck box with the design referencing the famous home built by Charles and Ray, a creative base where they lived for many years. This marvellous set was sustainably produced, making an ideal deck for idiosyncratic collectors, card sharps, and art lovers alike.
