An intriguing Kokeshi from Sakunami artisans. The classic body shape and nose design are indicative of this style. Sakunami Kokeshi were first made in the Meiji period and are considered the oldest of all Kokeshi designs. This doll is a much later creation but still bears the same designs of yesteryear. 

This beautiful vintage kokeshi was carefully hand sourced from japan just for the maker.
